Montesa motorcycles

History of the Spanish Montesa motorcycle company began in 1945. Office of the company specializing in the production of light and sport bikes are at Cornell. In 1950 Francesco Bulto designed for motorcycle road-racing circuit, enjoying great popularity.

In the 1960s the company started to manufacture Montesa active sports off-road motorcycles. One of the company's models download trial, Cota, allowed to win multiple World and European Championships.

In July 1986, was a joint venture with Honda. The new company Montesa-Honda, SA, a Spanish firm has helped to overcome the crisis caused by the abolition of the Spanish restrictions on the import of motorcycles. Now a joint factory also produced and motorcycles and scooters of the brand Honda.
