Harley-Davidson 1929 JDH Two Cam

Welcome to the sale of my Superb 1929 Harley-Davidson Two Cam.

If you are reading this then you will probably know about the Two Cams.
You will know how rare and sought after they are. and that they were the fastest production Harley of the time. having been developed from Harleys racing engines.
It is reputed that less than 100 of the JDH were ever produced.

Many. many years ago I was determined to own a JDH to add to my collection of Harleys. and by sheer chance I came across this one. it belonged to a well renowned and respected Gentleman who was an authority on Classic American Motorcycles.
Unfortunately he passed away. but I did manage to purchase the Harley from his estate.
I then commissioned a meticulous motorcycle engineer with a reputation second to none to restore the Two Cam.
This done. it has taken pride of place in my collection ever since.
However I have now reached an age where I feel that others should benefit from this Rare and Desirable motorcycle. and have therefore decided to sell.
Along the Harleys journey its log book and registration details have been lost but it will not be an issue to re register with an age related number.
You will see from the photos how tidy and original the JDH is but there are a couple of points to mention. one is the drive side crankcase is not the original one as this was damaged beyond repair. but the J model one that is fitted is identical. and there is even space by the engine number to have it stamped as a JDH if you so wished.
The only other point is that the dash light needs to be fitted correctly. minor job I know. but I felt I must mention it.
As I said the Harley has been in my dry. heated barn for many years. cleaned and the engine turned over regular. that said. I would recommend careful recommisioning. just to be on the safe side. although its only about a year ago since I had her running.
