Description
This is my Norton Lowboy Dunstall cafe racer that I have decided to put up for sale. I have been assembling it for a couple of years now.
The frame came from a friend's deceased estate. He had a genuine Norton Lowboy frame, raced it for a while, and left it on his dirt shed floor where the bottom tubes rotted out. He then had a copy made and I believe raced it again. I have had the frame nickel-plated.
The engine is a 500cc case with a 650SS top end. It was built by Mick Hemmings and is stamped with his ID number. It was raced.
The front end is a Norvil disc with shortened roadholders.
The rear hub and brake are Grimeca conical.
The petrol tank is a genuine Dunstall.
The seat is Fi-glass, which I have put a tool compartment in and had covered in black leather with red piping.
The engine plates and oil tank were made by Terry Mead.
The exhaust silencers are by Dan Moto.
The pipes were a mixture of P11 and Competition fabrications.
Flanged alloy rims front and back.
Tommaselli original twist grip.
Dunstall foot pegs.
Tony Dunnel rearsets.
Lucas competition mag.
New levers and headlight.
I have stamped the frame to suit a Norton logbook, so it is registered and on SORN.
The bike will make a stunning project, whatever you choose to do with it—road, parade, race, or classic trackdays.
I now live abroad and lack the time to finish it. I will be back in the UK by the 19th of November, so if you would like to see the bike, please let me know.
