Well where to start? This is my pride and joy! If your looking for something special this is it!
The Honda SP1 is fast becoming a rare and collectable bike and this one has to be the closest you will get to buying a new SP1.
When I purchased the bike it was in great condition and well looked after sporting the Castrol race colours. I wanted a good clean SP1 to base my project on. something I've planned for some time now and after owning 3 of these bikes it was time to put my ideas into reality.
The job list and work done
The bike has been totally stripped down to every last nut and bolt and rebuilt.
Engine was cleaned and checked over for any wear or faults. there were none! Then fully serviced with oils. filters. plugs etc.
Brakes were stripped. cleaned and overhauled including calipers and fitted with new HH pads and brake fluid.
Clutch cleaned. checked and re-assembled with fresh fluid.
A complete genuine Honda bearing set was purchased @£400+ (this was every single bearing for the whole bike!).
I also purchased a genuine Complete Honda Yoke set new with bearings @£300+.
The frame. swing-arm. and various other parts were all sent to Dream Machine Paints (if you know bikes you know these guy's!! and their work!!) for a full powder coating in satin black.
Dream Machine also painted the wheels gloss black.
The front forks have been stripped and rebuilt by Fire Fox Racing to include full re-valve and Ohlins internals use to rebuild them. The fork legs. stanchion. tubes etc have been anodised in black to match paint job.
The rear shock has been stripped and rebuilt again by Fire Fox Racing to include a re-valve and new powder-coated Ohlins spring and anodised reservoir.
Bodywork: This is a total one off!! Dream Machine recreated to my own ideas. There is and will not be any other bike the same anywhere!! so you can be sure to stand out in any crowd!!
For those familiar with this bike and the Colin Edwards era its a reworked version of his Stars and Stripes race livery only I wanted to use blacks. greys and silvers. So after lots of hours playing with colours etc. we came up with Honda SP2 gloss black and the metallic grey used on the later SP2 with a silver to add the detail. The finished product is what you see but pictures really don't show the colours well (must be seen in sun light to appreciate).
The bike was total rebuilt bit by bit with all the new bearings. suspension. brakes. yokes. etc. etc. along with new tyres. chain. sprockets. filters. fluids. oils etc. etc.
Bodywork reassembled and fitted with Dark DB screen and head light protectors (which have been painted along with the rest of the panels to match).
Under-tray fitted with flush lights and indicators and I fitted a set of carbon race cans by SP Engineering with removable db killers (sound great)
I then had the bike checked and a fresh MOT done by a Honda trained mechanic who stated the bike is one of the nicest SP's he's ever seen including new ones!
Original exhaust cans and pillion seat pod also included in sale along with many receipts for work done etc.

Top and bottom is a well sorted SP1 that I've put a lot of time and money into so please NO! time wasters NO! overseas bidders and No! I won't PX or part with this bike for silly offers. I will cover it back up and keep it first!
