For sale is the very first Mk 2 BSA Rocket 3 made. a very desirable Rocket 3. a machine of historic importance.
I have a letter dated Nov 1995 from R B Allen. machine registrar of the TR3OC confirming the
following history of the bike.
6-11-70 Bike built.
7-11-70 On loan to Lancaster house for press launch of 1971 BSA models.
2-12-70 Registered to BSA.
Summer 71 Road tested by Bike magazine - this was the very first Bike magazine where this bike
was road tested against a Norton Comando in a 7 page report.
29-7-71 On loan to Borne in Belgum.
9-11-71 Returned to BSA.
2-6-72 Sold secondhand to RSW----
12-5-75 Sold to RB---
18-10-80 Sold to DA---
29-1-05 Sold to myself.
DA--- tidied the bike up from 1980 to 1985 and I have a lot of reciepts spent during this time including
a new speedo.
As you can see from the photo's it is in excellent condition with a nice used patina.
I bought the bike with approx 1750 miles on the speedo and I have only increased this to 3300 miles
which is all it has done since 1980
It is MOT'd and taxed.
