Description
Hi there and thanks for looking. I have bought and sold a number of bikes for personal use over the years and have met some really nice. genuine people. I try to be as honest as possible when I describe my bike as I'm pretty picky over my bikes and always want to know everything there is when I buy one so am assuming that you're the same!
Here for sale is my much loved 2012 ZZR 1400 with Kawasaki Traction Control and ABS. I have left it almost totally standard apart from genuine Kawasaki gel knee pads and a Pyramid rear hugger. colour coded in black. I have owned the bike from new and am the only owner. It was purchased from Colchester Kawasaki on finance. which has just been cleared in full (if you're doing an HPI or equivalent it may still show as being financed but this can take a few days to clear - either way I have the letter to prove it's all paid). I had it serviced there at 600 miles and then again for it's next service. It's due a service in about 800 miles and will need front pads but I've factored this into the price - it's the cheapest 2nd hand new shape ZZR out there and in great condition.
It's been used almost daily for commuting and at weekends for a bit of fun. The reason for the sale is that my commute has changed and I'm a little too old (only just mind!) to be bothered riding a 200mph bike into central London every day. I'm taking the plunge and going to go adventure bike I think. If you've got a newish GS1200. KTM or Triumph Explorer and want to look at a trade then let me know. !
The bike has been used in all weathers but is always rinsed every other day in winter and washed at least once a week (the road salt these days kills bikes!) so as not to allow anything to go rusty. The tires that are on it are Bridghestone BT022 (I think) and have about 800-1. 00 miles left on them. The bike is really economical and returns a steady 43mpg which is great. It's been very well looked after and has wanted for nothing and just needs a new home now.
The power and ride are phenonmenal and this is probably the best road bike that I've owned in 18 years of riding. It's priced to sell. so I don't expect and crazy offers (so please don't make them!) but am open to sensible ones as always :-)
The mileage will go up as the bike is still in use although I'm trying not to use it every day as I have use of another bike luckily. Viewing can be arranged at a mutually agreed time - I can either bring the bike into London (near Waterloo or Canary Wharf) or it can be viewed at home in north Essex.
If you have any questions. then please give me a call on my mobile - 07710 940625 anytime. Neither German Shepherd nor paddock stand in pictures are included in the sale!! :-)
