Description
1961 Norton 650 ss.
Tested until the end of Sept. age related number but still transferable.
Bike was originally a 600 slimline dominator. but in 1991 the bike had a genuine Plumstead 650 ss engine fitted (1964) along with all the other bits to make it look like a an ss. The bike is registered as a 650ss with the VMCC.
I have quite a bit of history relating to the bike including photographic file of the the bikes rebuild including engine and gearbox strip and rebuild. and all the old mots going back to 91. Ignore the Freddie Frith sticker on the rear mudguard as it may well have not come from there.
Since that time the bike has covered only just under 3000 miles. (spent 10 years sitting in a garage). bike goes really well and starts easy. I fitted a new magneto in 2013. Its also fitted with a remote cartridge oil filter. Please also note the V5C states first registered 1991 but declared manufactured 1961. Recent Avon Road Rider Tyres fitted.
Some of the chrome on exhaust pipes and silencers is a bit dull but they are passable unless you wanted to show it. Gear lever needs chrome. and the rear shocks chrome cups could do with changing. but none of these items bothered me. However all in all. a cracking bike to ride!
Cash on collection please.
