1969 Honda CB750 Sandcast Ultra Rare Classic Vintage Low VIN

No: 1295 off the Honda production line. Fresh in from the USA. 2 owners. May 1969 Honda CB750 Sandcast. Frame No: CB750***1295.

1969 early fully restored Honda CB750 Sandcast with all the correct original details.
The motorcycle still has the ultra-rare 2-hole airbox, bootless master cylinder, early wrinkle tank, rolled rear rim, left-hand horn fitment, sunken seat with tail fin, sunken key and ignition switch, finless oil filter housing, and 5mm throttle cable (rare). Most of these parts have been lost from these bikes over the years, but fortunately, this one has retained them. Also fitted is a brand new set of Japanese unstamped pipes that are totally correct for this model.

The bike was restored in the US to show standard, with thousands of pounds/dollars worth of NOS Honda parts where necessary.
The engine has been completely rebuilt, along with the carbs, forks, wheels, etc., all refurbished to the highest standard. The motorcycle runs and rides as superbly as it looks. Comes with a new battery, 12 months MOT, UK road registration, and new period-correct tyres.

Frame No: CB750***1295 and Engine No: CB750E***1399, which is 100% correct as when the motorcycle left the Honda factory in Japan.
The motorcycle is like new and should be in a museum. Recently imported from the state of Minnesota, USA. As many of you will be aware, this is one of the rarest models, other than the four pre-production units that Honda made to showcase their engineering excellence.

This is the fourth Sandcast model we have had in the last year or so—the last three sold for similar money, so be quick. Ready to ride, show, or keep as a guaranteed investment. You and I both know that these bikes will only go up in value, just like Vincents and Broughs.

All documents, including V5C, are present. No: 1295 out of 7,414 Sandcasts, making this one of the early production models, probably from the first or second week of production—WOW.

The first 7,414 CB750s had crankcases, heads, barrels, and sumps cast in sand molds, similar to British bikes. This gave the cases a rough-textured appearance. Why this was done, no one knows for sure. Our guess is that the die-cast tooling wasn't ready in April 1969. In fact, it wasn't until September 1969 that the first die-cast bike, No. 7415, rolled off the production line.

Please note: Do not confuse the earlier Sandcast models (chassis numbers up to 7414) with the later die-cast K0 models, which were manufactured from chassis No. 7415 onwards from September 1969. Some people have emailed and said it looks like the same bike—it's not. A Sandcast is not a die-cast. A die-cast is essentially a K0 and later models.
