Description
For sale my immaculate Honda Rune. A bit of history of this amazing machine. Honda USA manufactured these bikes. it took six years from concept to production in 2003-4.
No exact figure for how many were actually made but around 2000+ is generally accepted. there are about 20 registered in the UK.
It is rumoured that each bike cost Honda USA between $100. 00-$120. 00 to make and it is obvious to see why the quality of everything is beyond belief.
The flat 6 engine is a gem it produces 118 BHP and 123 ft pound of torque it has the most wonderful throttle response once underway it sheds it's bulk and the torque just wafts you along as fast as you want to go.
The unique suspension on the front is a trailing bottom-link front fork that transfers axle loads through pushrods and linkage to two upper shocks. one housing the main spring and one a sub spring and damping system. At the rear there is a Unit Pro-Link taken from the Honda MotoGP racing bikes.
The photos do not do justice to the bike you have to see it in the flesh. the factory Illusion blue goes to purple in sunlight it is beautiful. When you go to fill up with petrol or park it you always get a few people admiring it. By all accounts quite a few have been converted into Trikes as there is a company that produce the most fabulous looking trike conversion for the bike.
Included in the sale are a spare set of custom finished wheels (replacement cost alone £1800) and a brand new correct front tyre. A spare battery and the very rare and expensive book on the development of the Rune this beautiful book has a hard cover the colour of bike (Illusion Blue) plus the letter of congratulation from the designer.
