1974 Norton 850 Commando

This is a clean, well cared for and maintained Commando. 1974 is arguably the best year Commando due to the RH10 Hemi head, unique to this year, which is less prone to cracking. Bike starts up on first or second kick, runs perfectly. No hesitation in acceleration, engine does not smoke, no unusual noises such as ticks or clanking from motor. Gearbox works perfectly with smooth, definite shifts, throughout, no whining sounds. There is some bubbling of paint on left top side of gas tank due to gas seepage when bike fell over during enclosed transport. Shipper mistakenly tied bike down with side stand extended and it snapped in half due to rough road conditions during interstate transit. Tachometer housing has some scraping on paint.
