Description
Due to bad health and an age related injury I am reluctantly selling my genuine Italian 1967 Innocenti Lambretta SX200 Scooter.
As soon as the wife saw her she named her, Cosi VaBene (Oh So Good).
I purchased the scooter in 2012 and the previous owner told me it had been imported to the UK from Sicily in 2001 and it had been restored by Armondo's in Sheffield for the person who imported it. The V5 confirms the scooter was 1st registered in the UK in 2001 but I have no proof it came to the UK from Sicily or if it was restored at Armondo's but you can tell it was a high quality restoration when it was done. See the photograph of the modification to the side panel for the previous 32mm? Amal Carb that was once fitted, not just a hole but a professionally panel beaten opening.
When I bought her the speedo wasn't working so I had to buy and fit a new one, at the time it had 21,926 miles on the broken clock, since then I have done a genuine 2,198 miles indicating a total mileage of 24,124, and if that's true I'll bare my bum in Burtons window ;-) LOL
She is 54 years old so I cannot say she is totally original as parts have obviously been replaced over the years as and when required but her frame and engine numbers are right and she has been age verified by the LCGB and has an aged related E plate and Certificate.
Due to being in hospital and not being able to ride her for so long I registered her as Tax and MOT exempt. I have copies of all MOT certificates supplied since I bought her. All lights, horn and brakes work well and if presented for an MOT she will pass.
She is not in perfect condition but she is a nice tidy example of the Iconic SX200 that has been well looked after but she has been ridden on the road so not mint and does have a few chips and scuffs to her paintwork but she starts 1st or 2nd kick and runs really nice.
Since buying her we have always kept her in tip top mechanical condition and although not MOT'd everything works and she is legally and mechanically ready to ride away. We have also carried out what we think are a number of improvements:
12 volt electronic ignition.
12 Volt front and rear lamps.
An MB Developments rear hub with high quality German cone.
A stage 4 Indian 200cc cylinder and head
42mm exhaust
25mm PHBL Dell Orto carb breathing through the standard filter box, it doesn't make her faster but it means she starts 1st or 2nd kick and runs well while keeping her original look.
Reverse pull front brake
New engine mounts
3 SIP Tubeless wheel rims fitted with SIP Performance tyres
Professionally Custom made spares box sited in the battery tray.
Included will be among other Lambretta related items will be:
2 open face helmets.
Lambretta Spares Catalogue
The Official Lambretta Home Workshop Manual
A second later edition workshop manual
2nd Edition of ‘The complete Spanners Manual'
A newish rubber floor mat
2 x 2 stroke oil bottles carried in the tool box
22mm Jetex Carb, upgraded by Allstyle Scooters

Various lamps

Anyone interested should come and see the scooter as she is SOLD AS SEEN, she may not be in a fully restored condition but is realistically and fairly priced.
