1942 Harley-Davidson WL

Nice 1942 Harley-Davidson WLA 45 c.i. flathead engine only, sells with bill of sale. No carburetor, timer, or generator. Engine stand not included. All engine internals are present, I will provide the front & rear exhaust tappet blocks & tappets. Engine should probably be rebuilt. Cases do not have matching line-bore "belly" numbers, but it does have a perfect, unmolested VIN on number pad: "42WLA 26837". Really nice cases & cylinders. Right case and cam cover still have original olive drab green military paint on them. Still has special military crank case breather and scavenge oil pump. Intake spigot threads are good. There are broken fins on both heads, but the fins may be repaired and these are genuine Harley-Davidson #6 high compression heads. Clean cylinder bores measure @ 0.015" & 0.025" larger than standard bore at 2.760" & 2.770". Great for restoration, bobber, or Sons of Speed or TROG racer.
