1977 Moto Guzzi LeMans 850 MKI

I have a small collection of iconic Moto Guzzi composed of a 1977 LeMans 850 MKI in the fascinating Ice blue (here for sale at $19.9K), a 1974 Eldorado 850 LAPD, a 1973 Eldorado Police “California” version and a 1974 V7 Sport 750 that will be put on sale for $20K each at a later date.
The LeMans MKI was first introduced at Milan's Show in November 1975 and sales started the following year. The motorcycle was developed from the 1971 V7 Sport, but with increased power and torque. Production of MKI ended in 1978 with a total of 6,817 made. What fascinates me the most is the revolutionary integral braking system that can be considered as the ancestor of the ABS. The peculiarity is that rear brake pedal operates the left front disc and the rear brake, while the front brake lever independently operates the other front disc. I acquired this bike in California in June 2019 as a project bike and restored it to the current conditions. This is a great Guzzi to ride especially on open roads where you can take full advantage of its smooth and exhilarating power. Bike is very stable, and you feel very comfortable riding it at speed. In a nutshell it has a nice and smooth motor especially over 3,000 rpm, easy to handle and fun to ride! It's a true classic that turns heads at every corner and a joy to admire in the garage.
The LeMans (in 2020), California (in 2019) and Eldorado Police (in 2017) won the prestigious Boca Raton Concourse d'Elegance - Post War European Class. The LeMans also won the Wayne Carini Grand Marshal Award.
