Description
1972 Kawasaki 750 H2.
A first year model of the classic 750 2-stroke Triple.
Recently refurbished with a powder coated frame and swing arm, chrome work redone by Vinny's in Victoria and new Candy Blue paintwork from one of the best in the business.
The wheels have been rebuilt with new DID rims, stainless spokes and new Dunlop TT100 tyres (which still have the bobbles on them).
A new, full exhaust system by Doremi has been fitted (expensive, as well as hard to find - this one came from the US) together with a new battery and a new full air box assembly. The brakes have been rebuilt with new seals in the calliper and in the master cylinder, with new hoses and hard lines, as well as a new front disc rotor.
The engine was redone by the previous owner and the carbs have been more recently rebuilt with new jets, cables, gaskets etc. The fuel tap has also been rebuilt, so no leaks there. A new 2 stroke oil tank and line has been installed, speedo and tacho cables are new. Please note that the speedo reads in miles - not klm's.
She has a new seat and Koni rear shocks, plus both centre and side stands.
Frame number is H2F - 07246, Engine number is H2E - 17948.
Hard to believe that this bike is now over 50 years old and there is probably more to add, but I've forgotten some details for sure. I decided to leave the headlight rim original - the chrome has been polished thin on top and reflects the age of the bike. Just my choice. As the bike is rarely, if ever ridden, the clutch is a bit sticky, but should free off after a few kilometers. But after priming the carbs, she starts and runs first kick and settles into a smooth idle soon afterwards.
Some of the parts that I replaced can come with the bike if required, the original seat, wheel rims (one is a Takasago, the other not) and an exhaust system in need of tlc. A reproduction Owners Manual and some tools that also came with the bike, go with the bike.
This is a lovely example of one of the most iconic, and now rare bikes of the '70's.
Happy to help with the collection arrangements and I have a great contact up here for motorcycle transport, interstate and worldwide.
Questions and inspection welcome.
Thanks for looking.
