VELOCETTE - 1966 Mk3, LE. 200cc.
The bike is in very good condition & runs and rides really well having recently had a full service.
Mileage stands at 13610 - although I still take it out for occasional short ride to keep things moving & battery charged. With the mileage being reasonably low, the engine & gearbox is quiet and smooth. Fitted with electronic ignition & a modern Dellorto carb. (Although selling with the bikes original ignition system, points, coils etc. and type19 Amal carb should buyer wish to refit).
Believed to originally been intended for use by Metropolitan police, having the larger battery box & utilising 12V Lucas system, but it's understood that the bike has always been owned privately.
Also selling with lots useful spares, including water hoses, cables, full gasket set, carburettor spares, a couple of useful special LE tools, Owners Handbook, various service history including proof of recent full service & other related documents.
Worth noting: there are a few minor stone chips and scratches to paint work but selling with touch-up paint. Carburettor choke is operated at the carb which has always been fine for me but another owner might like to fit a handlebar control (available from Dellorto). Have ridden it 3,000 miles since I bought & restored this LE seven years ago, it's now time to make space in the garage and let somebody else enjoy this bike on its 60th birthday.
