For sale my trusty BMW R1200RT SE. She comes fully loaded. every possible option apart from the radio. 2009 February registered on a 58 plate.
Factory Fit options include:Heated Grips. Heated rider & pillion seats. ABS. Traction Control. Electronically Adjustable SuspensionCruise ControlElectronically adjustable screenSide panniers and matched silver colour top box. all on the same key that works the ignition. Alarm & immobiliser. Two keys. Two alarm fobs. Black plastic key - not sure what that does.
Aftermarket enhancements:Russell Day Long 1000 mile seat. (heated) These seats are the very best money can buy. The seat can be included in the sale at a price of £400. with the back rest. I have a normal factory fit heated seat in that case. The Russell seat is made to order in the USA. it's expensive and there is always a waiting time. Further info here: http://www. day-long. com/http://www. ironbutt. org/forum/forum_posts. asp?TID=7142Back Rest. Garmin Zumo 660 GPS with UK & EU maps. Both the cradle and the zumo unit are brand new - just exchanged out by Garmin.
Other:Service history. Full BMW main dealer service history - apart from the most recent service which was done in May 2013. This was by a local BMW specialist. Fitted two months ago: Michelin Pilot Road 3. New pads front and back. The service in was a full service with new oil/plugs/etc.
Good bits:The bike is supremely comfortable and stable. The addition of the Russell Day long heated seat transforms the bike. Any long distance ride becomes very easy. 200-300 miles in the saddle between stops are now easy. The back rest helps as well. I started with the back rest. Don't think it's really needed. but left it fitted. It folds down when you mount the bike.
Bad bits:The bike is not in showroom cosmetic condition. But it has been serviced regardless of cost. Mechanically it's in great shape. The main points to mention are:1. The aluminium frame bits by the pillion pegs need sandblasting and repainting. I have been told this can cost between £100-£200 tops. 2. There are minor scratches here and there. I can email more photos on request.
The price. There is minor flexibility in the price. A part ex is a possibility (within site rules of course). I am looking for something along the lines of a KTM 990 SMT (maybe Adventure) ABS 2010-2012. Triumph Tiger ABS 2010-2012. Drop me a message.
The bike is stored at my home in Burgess Hill. RH15 postcode. Viewings with notice welcome. Evenings mostly good. Test rides. full asking price cash in my hand and confirmation of insurance.
She has been my comfortable ride to Germany (twice) and France earlier this summer. She has also been used by me and the previous owner (I am told) to commute into London. These are motorway miles she is wearing.
