This is a unique opportunity to own BOTH a beautifully cared for ROAD bike as well as a totally unabused and immaculately cared for TRACK toy. I bought the bike with every intention of just using her for the occasional Sunday ride out but due to terrible road conditions. abundant speed cameras and inclement weather I decided to convert the bike myself into a track toy. However. due to complete lack of use and need for garage space I am very reluctantly offering the bike for sale.
I have done all of the conversion myself and most of the expensive extras fitted are less than 2 months old.
The engine is completely standard and untouched. The bike is blistering quick and more than capable. The most important element for me was to get the bike feeling and handling perfectly on the track. hence the expense of fitting the Ohlins suspension. HM Racing Quickshifter and slick tyres etc.
I would obviously prefer to sell the complete package as is but may consider selling the bike as a totally STANDARD road bike and then sell all the expensive race/track extras separately. However. this would need to be discussed individually over the telephone. It would also seem a real shame to break the bike down as it is an absolutely formidable track tool in its current guise.
The above pictures show the bike as it is now in TRACK form. However. the last picture shows the bike in its ROAD form and with the original bodywork fitted. The bike can easily be used in either guise and will be sold with every original item as it came from the showroom (bar the standard exhaust which i no longer have)
The bike will be sold with a complete and genuine V5 registration document in my name. The bike is 100% HPi clear with a fully traceable history and pedigree through BMW.
The bike has NEVER been dropped. crashed or involved in any incident. It has been truly cherished. polished within an inch of its life and is always garaged!
The bike has just been serviced and comes with a FULL and genuine BMW service history from the same originating dealership from new. The bike has covered 90% of its very low mileage on the roads as i have literally only done a couple of track days on it. That said i have insisted on a full oil and filter service after each day on the track. The bike has NEVER seen a drop of rain in its life.
Again. the bike is 100% HPi clear and comes with a V5 and it is currently SORN as it is in its full race fairings and has race slick tyres.
The bike will be sold with ALL and EVERY single original item. bolt. bracket and whatever piece of bodywork it originally came with from the showroom. I have ALL the standard original bodywork. lights etc. and i also have the original standard suspension (rear shock and front fork internals)
Anyone with any knowledge of bikes will see the amount of money i have spent on this bike. All of the extras are the best you can buy and there has been no expense spared. The Ohlins equipment alone was around £2.000 supplied and fitted.
The suspension has been professional fitted and set up by HM Racing in Kent with no expense or time spared.
I also have the original BMW Quickshifter.
Bike is currently running race slick tyres but i also have a full set of Metzeler Racetec K2/K3s plus a spare front tyre. Plus a spare set of slicks.
There are a number of other spares that can also go with the bike to the new owner including sprockets etc.
The bike is immaculate and although I have done a couple of track days I have cherished her and is totally unabused in every way. I have had a full oil and filter service done after every track day.
Bike has literally just had a full engine oil change outside of the service schedule - PLUS a brand new set of HH front brake pads.
I am a sensible. mechanically sympathetic and experienced mature owner.
I will NOT ship anything overseas and i don't suffer fools gladly so please no timewasters or scammers (i wasn't born yesterday and wont entertain anything that doesn't appear or sound genuine)
I am simply looking for a genuine and honest sale of a completely honest and genuine cherished toy.
