Description
AFTER MUCH SOUL SEARCHING. I HAVE DECIDED TO PUT MY BSA A10 650cc SUPER ROCKET FOR SALE.
I HAVE OWNED THE BIKE SINCE 2009 AND HAVE HARDLY USED IT APART FROM RUNNING IT UP OCCASSIONALY. AS I HAVE ANOTHER BIKE WHICH IS RIDDEN.
THIS BIKE IN MY EYES IS IMMACULATE OVERALL. DESPITE BEING NON ORIGINAL IN SOME PARTS.
THE PICS DON'T SHOW THE BIKE AS WELL AS I HAD HOPED. MUCH BETTER IN THE FLESH
THE FRAME HAS BEEN POWDER COATED AND THE PANELS ARE IN 2 PACK
WHEELS ARE FLANGED ALLOY DUNLOP REAR AND BORRANI FRONT WITH STAINLESS SPOKES
GEARBOX IS STANDARD
ENGINE IS STANDARD SUPER ROCKET APART FROM HAVING A SPITFIRE CAM
MUDGUARDS ARE NON STANDARD IN STAINLESS
STANTIONS ARE A65 DOUBLE DAMPED
FRONT BRAKE IS GOLD STAR?
ELECTRICS ARE 6VOLT WITHA CYCLON BATTERY (AMAZING FOR HOLDING A CHARGE)
HALOGEN HEADLIGHT BULB
REAR LIGHT IS FROM A BSA A65
LOADS OF STAINLESS
CLOCKS HAVE BEEN REPLACED WITH RECONDITIONED HENCE THE MILEAGE
REMOTE SPIN OFF/ON OIL FILTER
TANK IS PROBABLY A10/A7/B31? A GOLDSTAR TANK WOULD LOOK GOOD
THE EXHAUSTS ARE. I THINK STAINLESS.
I HAD PLANNED TO EITHER REPLACE THE SILENCERS WITH SUPER ROCKET ONES OR 2 INTO 1 ROCKET GOLDSTAR ONES AND HAVE SUPER ROCKET SILENCERS OR GOLDSTAR SILENCERS. BUT AS IT IS A MATTER OF TASTE. I THOUGHT A NEW OWNER COULD DECIDE.
THE TANK. I HAD CONSIDERED EITHER HAVING CHROMED AND REPAINTED OR BUYING ONE ALREADY DONE FROM INDIA. HOWEVER THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TANK AS IT IS.
THE BIKE IS ON SORN. NO MOT. NUMBER IS TRANSFERRABLE
IF THERE ARE ANY FAULTS WITH THE BIKE IN MY OPINION THESE ARE:
THE BIKE. IF LEFT FOR A LONG PERIOD WILL WET SUMP. WHICH AN ANTI SUMPING VALVE OR TAP WILL SOLVE.
THERE IS AN OIL SEEPAGE FROM THE HEAD GASGET WHICH MAY BE DUE TO USING STAINLESS STAINLESS BOLTS TO HOLD THE HEAD DOWN WITH. WHICH I HAVEN'T INVESTIGATED.
AS THE BIKE HASN'T BEEN ON THE ROAD FOR SOME TIME I WOULD RECOMMEND A CHECK OVER AND OIL. FILTER AND PETROL CHANGE.
IN MY OPINION THIS BIKE COULD BE REVERTED BACK INTO AN ORIGINAL SUPER ROCKET OR MADE INTO A BEAUTIFUL ROCKET GOLDTAR REPLICA
