Description
Hello. Here we have for sale the last of my UK bike collection. Having now retired after 35 years in the Middle East.
The bike is now not suitable to my stature. I had it commissioned built by Dave Degens [Dresda Autos Ltd] in 1997. the final spec sheets never materialised as the build became prolonged and extensive. with a final cost of £10.000 [Valued Ins agreement 12.000 at the time].
The frame. Norton wide line with Degens swinging arm conversion. race number plate brackets. alloy engine plates /exhaust brackets/ head steady/ speedo rev counter mounts. Light weight top & bottom yolks. short roadholders. 4 leading shoe. langeless borrani rims. conical rear hub.
Engine. rebuilt 750cc TR6 [cam profiles not known] New cylinder head. with full treatment - gas flowed. thin stem valves. central plugs. ombustion chamber built up and machined to produce best burn. new carbs. The engine runs smoothly at low revs. breaths and runs cleanly through full rev range.
The bike is very light. handles so well. and sounds superb. also with that valve twitter echoed through the reversed cone megga's rolling off the throttle. My ref. to new parts can be attributed to the fact that it has only covered 1.000 miles since being built. With other interests this end [classic cars] it was rolled out during annual vacations for MOT's and coastal runs.
Fuel tank being fibre glass has never been treated. ave up to recently used 4star petrol only. any other is drained.
Paint work is good. but has acquired several chips over the years. more from it's shared accommodation than road use.
Viewing by arrangement please. assistance can be offered on shipping [not financial]. On any transaction. a none refundable £200 deposit. and all funds to be cleared before collection.
