1986 Suzuki RG500 GAMMA BLUE/White

Sadly its time to consolidate my collection of Gammas. this being the first one I'm offering for sale.

Suzuki RG500 Gamma UK Bike

The bike was rebuilt at 25. 64 miles and has only covered 640 miles since. The bike was fully stripped. cleaned. checked and components replaced as necessary.

This included:

A rebore to 1mm oversize using genuine Suzuki pistons & rings, New panels & tank cover from Japan at the time of the rebuild, Seat recovered, New battery, Brakes fully rebuilt and new braided hoses fitted, New gold chain & sprockets, New clutch springs and plates with a Mark Dent anti drag shim Forks rebuilt with new seals & oil, Ultrasonic clean & new internals fitted to all carburetors New genuine Suzuki cables (throttle etc. )New consumables such as air filter. plugs & fluids.

It has only just been run in. At the end of summer I fitted new individual air filters from RG500. com. I intended to fit new exhausts from Mark Dent & have the bike set up on at a dyno session. but I didn't get this far. The bike will need setting up to suit the new filters if you choose to keep them on the bike. or return them to standard as the original air filter ducts are included in the sale & the new genuine Suzuki air filter element is still fitted.

The only points that let the bike down at the moment are:

The lower exhaust cans are scuffed. I've purchased replacement sleeves to address this which are included in the sale. There is a minor crack in the rear panel above the RHS top exhaust (see pictures)The foam around the dash would benefit from a new one (they are still available) and the ring around the Speedo has a ding in it

It's a great useable appreciating classic. It has current tax & MOT. Ill renew the MOT upon purchase (assuming the rain stops!). I always run it on fully synthetic two stroke oil and use Silkolene PRO SRG 75 in the gearbox.
