Suzuki GT750 GT 750 1972 J Model Classic Stunning With £££ Spares

For sale is my 1972 Suzuki GT750 J model. the first of the marque. As you can see from the photos it is in excellent condition. and has all the essential original parts unique to this model e. g. generator cover. points cover. drum brake. ‘s' bolts etc. The bike was extensively restored in 2006/7 by the previous owner. which included re-chroming/painting. powder-coating. wheels rebuilt with stainless spokes. Hagon shocks. engine rebuild. new seat and re-wire. I have owned the bike since Sept 2009 and completed approx. 1200 miles over 4 years. It has been garaged every winter. I have fitted new chain and sprockets. BT45 rear tire. Gel battery. head bearings. Various cosmetics have been upgraded. e. g. side panels re-sprayed by Bike-Paints. radiator crash-bar re-chromed. It was awarded a Highly Commended at the Scottish Motorcycle Show in 2010.

Standard Exhaust System - Included in the sale is a ‘show quality' set of standard exhausts. These have been re-chromed. and are complete with cones. baffles and rubber cusions The downpipe has been re-chromed and never fitted and one exhaust coupler is NOS. It also has the unique J model collars. The centre stand (powder-coated) can be re-fitted with the standard exhausts.
J model Spares Pack - All parts are in good/excellent condition;
Used - Head. barrels. radiator. rad crash bar. clutch/choke lever. side panel (L). airbox boot. headlight unit. generator cover. 2 small ex cones. 1 large ex cone. complete clock set (show quality). tacho. engine crash bars
NOS – Brake lever. air filter. 2 small cone cusions. throttle cable. 2 front brake cables. 3 carb intake boots. 3 carb re-build kits. speedo cable. speedo cover and tacho cover (both OEM)
Some of the above are incredibly rare/expensive/difficult to find. If you could acquire (including Allspeeds) it could cost you £2-2. 5k (not including the postage +10%?). You could restore one of the ‘projects' with these spares. and drive an outstanding example at the same time !
A few minor flaws to highlight: Tank paint - small (15mm x0. 5mm) scratch on tank below Z on offside. s/b fixable. some wear on seat contacts. Rear fender – some chrome flaking. not easily visible. L/H outer exhaust – loose internal baffle. can't hear when running. Speedo – crack in cover barely visible -expertly repaired (new cover in in spares pack). This is a 42 year old motorbike. so is sold as seen with no guarantee. the mileage is not accurate. as the speedo has been replaced.
The bike is MOT'd until mid October. taxed (free) until end Sept. It is an excellent runner. and very peppy with the Allspeeds (newly ceramic coated). which is what I will be running with this year if it doesn't sell. (Selling due to lack of use. it won't be difficult to keep it for another year. as the price of these machines is only going in one direction !)
On purchase I will need an immediate £250 deposit (Paypal) to remove the bike from sale. The bike will not go anywhere until cash is cleared in the bank.
