1989 VFR 750F K. V FOUR WITH GEAR DRIVEN CAMS. HONDA'S MOST POWERFUL VFR 105 BHP ENGINE. GENUINE 150 MPH RETRO SUPERBIKE.
STARTS ON THE BUTTON AND RUNS LIKE NEW. THE BIKE WILL COME WITH A FULL SERVICE HISTORY AND IS IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION.
IN MY HONEST OPINION I WOULD SAY THE BIKE IS 8 OUT OF 10 ONLY BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL SCREEN HAS A SMALL FRACTURE AND SOME MARKS. THE MIRRORS ARE ALSO SCUFFED AND ONE HAS A FRACTURE UNDERNEATH. THEY ARE BOTH STILL AVAILABLE TO BUY FROM HONDA (AROUND £45 EACH). THE REST OF THE BODYWORK IS ALL IN TIP TOP CONDITION.
I HAVE ORDERED A NEW SCREEN (SOLID BLACK). MYSELF JUST BEING FUSSY AS USUAL. BUT THE SCREEN AND MIRRORS ARE PERFECTLY USEABLE.
VERY LOW MILEAGE LESS THAN 5. 00 MILES. THE BIKE WAS ONLY USED FOR MAXIMUM OF 3 YEARS AS IT HAS NEVER HAD A RECORDED MOT. I WOULD THINK BOUGHT IN 1989 AND ONLY EVER USED IN THE SUMMER. NOT USED IN THE WET EITHER BY THE CONDITION AND ALWAYS GARAGED. THE BIKE IS IN UN RESTORED CONDITION. FOR A 25 YEAR OLD BIKE SHE STILL LOOKS AND FEELS LIKE BRAND NEW.
I BOUGHT THE BIKE TO GET HER RUNNING AS SHE SHOULD AND TO USE ALONGSIDE MY OTHER CLASSIC JAPANESE BIKES. BIKES LIKE THIS SHOULD BE RIDDEN AND NOT LOCKED AWAY IN GARAGES.
I BOUGHT THE SAME MODEL IN 1989 BRAND NEW AND RAN IT FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. ONE OF THE RIDERS AT A LONDON COURIER FIRM I USED TO WORK AT HAD OVER 130. 00 MILES ON HIS VFR 750F K. THE BIKE WAS THRASHED MERCILESSLY ONLY THE OIL AND FILTER WAS CHANGED AT REGULAR INTERVALS. AT 130. 00 MILES HE CHANGED THE OIL. AIR. FUEL FILTERS. NEW PLUGS AND OIL AND HE COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW FAST THE BIKE STILL WAS. I BELIEVE HE CLOCKED OVER 210. 00 COURIER MILES AND ONLY A CRASH STOPPED IT FROM RUNNING ON ANY FURTHER.
THE BIKE HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY SERVICED. NO SEALER WAS NEEDED IN THE FUEL TANK. THE TANK WAS VERY DIRTY WITH RUST DIS-COLOURED FUEL BUT IT HAD BEEN STORED TOPPED TO THE BRIM WITH MAYBE A FUEL STABILISER. WE HAVE DRAINED THE FUEL TANK AND CLEANED OUT ALL THE
LOOSE PARTICLES WITH HIGH PRESSURE WATER (DISTILLED) AND AIR. THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS WITH THE INSIDE OF THE TANK AT ALL. IT WILL CLEAN UP NICELY ONCE A COUPLE OF FULL TANKS OF FUEL HAVE BEEN USED.
NOT SURPRISINGLY THE CARBURETORS WERE ALL CLEAN. THEY HAVE BEEN REMOVED AND EXPERTLY CLEANED AND THE GUMMED UP JETS AND AIR MIXTURE SCREWS CHEMICALLY CLEANED AND BLASTED WITH HIGH PRESSURE AIR. THE CARBURETORS WERE NOT IN NEED OF A SONIC CLEAN AS THE FLOAT BOWLS AND CARBURETORS HAD BEEN DRAINED PRIOR TO STORAGE. THE FUEL FILTER IS STILL AS GOOD AS NEW BUT A REPLACEMENT FUEL FILTER WILL COME WITH THE BIKE. I WANT TO SHOW THAT THE BIKE HAS BEEN WELL LOOKED AFTER.
NEW SPARK PLUGS HAVE BEEN FITTED. THE AIR FILTER DIDN'T NEED CHANGING. ALL FLUIDS HAVE BEEN CHANGED. RAKE. CLUTCH GREASED AND BLED AND WITH NEW OIL AND OIL FILTER. I HAVE PURCHASED A NEW SET OF FRONT FORK OIL SEALS AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE ONLY.
THE FORK STRANCTIONS ARE IN AS NEW CONDITION WITH NO LEAKS.
WHEN THE WEATHER CHANGES I WILL GET THE BIKE AN MOT AND TAX.
WE HAVE RE GREASED ALL BEARINGS. BRAKES. WHEELS AND THE BIKE IS READY TO RIDE AWAY (MOT NEEDED BUT WILL PASS WITH FLYING COLOURS) IN DUE COURSE. PIRELLI MATCH TYRES AS NEW WITH RUBBER PIMPLES STILL ON. STORED ON MAIN STAND NO SIGNS OF WEIGHT STORAGE ON EITHER TYRE.
NOT A RECOMMENDED BIKE FOR BEGINNERS EITHER IN MY OPINION. THESE BIKES ARE QUICK UNDER 7. 00 RPM BUT AFTER THAT THEY BECOME AN OUT AND OUT SPORTS BIKE. YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THE BRAKES ARE NOT AS GOOD AS MODERN BIKES BUT A DECENT SET OF BRAKE LINES AND MODERN PADS WILL BE A MAJOR IMPROVEMENT.
POWER IS AWESOME. IT IS EITHER ON OR OFF. THERE IS NOTHING ELSE AS I REMEMBER. POWER ALL THE WAY FROM THE START. THE ONLY CRITICISM I WOULD SAY THESE BIKES ALWAYS SEEMED HEAVY. BUT HANDLING WAS SUPERB AND PLANTED. CHECK OUT WAYNE GARDNER HONDA VFR ON YOU TUBE. A GREAT VIDEO ON THE VFR 750.
I HAVE PUT THE BIKE UP FOR SALE AS I AM NEEDING THE SPACE. SON'S BIKE MOVING BACK IN.
I HAVE PRICED THE BIKE AS IS WITHOUT THE MOT. TAX OR NEW MIRRORS. I HAVE TWO OTHER 1989/1990 CLASSIC YAMAHA EXUPS AND A GSXR 1000 K8 SUZUKI. THE SUZUKI VERY RARELY GETS RIDDEN AS I PREFER THE OLDER BIKES.
RIDING THEM BACK TO BACK YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY. THE SUZUKI IS A BALLISTIC MISSILE THAT GOES. STOPS. TURNS. WHEELIES EVERYWHERE WITH 180 MPH TOP SPEED. THE OLD CLASSIC'S MAKE YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING. HAVING TO MUSCLE THEM IN AND OUT OF CORNERS. GREAT NOSTALGIC FUN.
I AM NOT PREPARED TO TAKE SILLY OFFERS. SO LETS NOT WASTE EACH OTHERS TIME.

VERY CHEAP TO INSURE AND IF YOU WANT TO HAVE THE BEST BIKE HONDA EVER MADE (CHECK OUT THE INTERNET) THIS IS THE ONE. THE BUILD QUALITY IS SUPERB. IT IS NOT IN SHOWROOM CONDITION AND DOES SHOW LIGHT SIGNS OF WEAR AND TEAR (WELL ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION) FOR A 5. 00 MILE USED ONLY FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS MOTORCYCLE AND YES I KNOW YOU CAN BUY A GOOD SECOND HAND GSXR 600. 50. 000. R1. R6 (HIGHER MILEAGE. THRASHED AND IN POORER CONDITION) ETC. FOR SIMILAR MONEY (THAT YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO RIDE TO THE BIKES FULL POTENTIAL. ONLY IN OUR DREAMS) BUT THIS BIKE WILL SUIT THE YOUNGER AND OLDER RIDER LIKE MYSELF TO OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY AND NOSTALGIA. I AM NOT HERE TO RIP ANYONE OFF. I CAN ASSURE YOU THIS BIKE WILL NOT DISAPPOINT. IT HAS A VERY COMFORTABLE RIDING POSITION. WITH AN ADJUSTABLE SCREEN HEIGHT (WAY AHEAD OF IT'S TIME) RE LIVE YOUR YOUTH. LIFE IS WAY TOO SHORT !
