Description
Here we have a very nice, ready-to-ride 1959 BSA RGS replica.
Date of first registration: 10.01.1959, and date of first registration in the UK: 10.01.1959, which indicates that this bike is carrying its original registration number from new. 1959 registered, hence MOT exempt. Also classed as a historic vehicle, so you get free road tax.
The bike comes with a dating certificate from the BSA Owners Club stating that the bike started life as an A10 Golden Flash and was dispatched to J. Double, a BSA dealer in Ilford, Essex, on 24th December 1958. From what we have been told, the bike has a BSA A7 engine bottom-end crankcase with engine number CA7**** but has been fitted with a 650cc Golden Flash top end, plus a 650cc crank/rods fitted in the A7 bottom end.
Here are a few items that have been restored or renovated:
- Dunlop alloy dished wheel rims
- Tacho crankcase drive conversion
- Rewired electrics
- Gold Star exhaust
- Frame professionally repainted along with all black-painted fixtures and fittings (e.g., side panel boxes, forks, etc.)
- Fuel tank renovated and repainted
- Wheels respoked with stainless spokes
- Front and rear number plates replaced with the correct font pressed aluminum style, along with correct fixtures and fittings
- Also fitted, as you can see in the photos, are the normal RGS-style bars, headlight frame, exhaust, etc.
Part exchange would be very welcome. Delivery anywhere in the world for a fee. All payments accepted: credit cards, debit cards, BACs transfers, etc.
