Description
Up for sale is my beautiful 900SS Cafe Racer.
I commissioned Redmax Speed Shop to build this beauty with the plan to be spending summers in the UK. but that all changed. I am now in Germany and cannot get the bike on the road here legally. The bike was just sent back to the UK. a fresh MOT and the final electrical gremlin sorted. the alternator (the last thing that was not yet replaced). As I am in Germany I have been relying on the builder (Steve Hillary) to help me with the sale in the UK.
On May 17th Redmax Speed Shop will be having an open day where the bike will be displayed with there other bits of exotica. That will be a good day for viewing. but if you would like to view the bike at a different or earlier time please get in touch with me. and I can co-ordinate a business hours appointment.
Once the bike was completed I had a few teething issues electrically. so rather than patching things up. I replaced all the wiring with upgrades where ever possible.
No expense has been spared. so my loss will be your gain. A completely sorted Cafe Racer ready to enjoy for summer
Here's a list of works performed:
Cafe racer seat with gel pad and pseudo suede covering (comfier than it looks).
Bikini fairing with removable headlight cover.
Mental 2-1 Ducati Performance exhaust plus the serpent headers (art).
New headlight (bright).
New rear sets.
Custom Hagon rear shock.
Rebuilt M1 Marzocchi forks. are chromed and resprayed. Hours of hand work to create that one-off fuel tank (was a b*tch apparently). Powder coated everything we could in black. wheels. fairing brackets. FCR 41mm fitted (radical change). Exact fit coils from CA Cycleworks. LiPo battery and accompanying charger. Carbon dash cover. 916 levers and fluid reservoirs. Has the original aluminium Verlicchi swing arm (rare). Stainless fastenings where possible. Goodridge braided brake lines and performance pads. New chain. New alternator. Upgraded battery cabling for improved spark/easier starting. Fitted a Rizoma plate holder. the original was too tight to my boots. Rizoma bar end mirror. Ignitech TCIP4 ignition upgrade. Fully programmable (cd's etc. with bike). Quick action throttle and more when I remember.
The engine & gearbox were inspected at build time and noted as excellent and not needing any rebuilding.
There is a 3mm chip in the paint on the fairing. we can work out a deal on that.
I am not desperate to sell it. but it's a crime that it's not being used.
I maybe willing to swap for another Ducati 851, 888, 916, old Laverda, Porsche or interesting classic car, cash either way. you never know. just try me.
