2006 Benelli Tornado RS

Benelli Tornado 900 RS. these bikes are not to be confused with the standard model Tornado's as they were designed to run in the Moto GP championship in 2006. they are lavished with carbon fibre. uprated engine power to 142bhp. double Brembo “Serie Oro” brakes on the Marchesini forged alloy wheels. full Marzochi race suspension set up with full load adjustment. quick shifter gearbox. steering damper. there were 150 of these made world-wide. I believe there are only 16 or so in the UK and this is the only Pearl White one in the country (and possibly the world) it has two red cooling fans under the seat that look fantastic. it is the most stunning looking bike I have seen. it gets so much attention anywhere you go and people always stop to talk about it. the two double fans in the rear are for the rear mounted radiator it is a 900cc triple and sounds fantastic.

This bike was owned from new by one person until 2011. during his ownership. it was treated to every modification and factory upgrade that was available. including the latest clutch basket and Z25 gear pin installed in 2011. an after market genuine Benelli Titanium Arrow exhaust tuned with electronic mapping from “Tuneboy” all discs and PC connections present. Datatool alarm with two fobs. unbreakable levers. it also has all the original parts as well. including end can. head light. larger front sprocket etc. there are two paddock stands front and rear. a new cover in the bag and trickle charger has been installed on the left hand side so you simply plug it in when in the garage. the charger comes with the bike.

The bike was originally yellow this being the standard colour of the RS along with red. the original owner had it professionally painted to Audi pearl white and all the Graphics are standard apart from being in carbon fibre and gold. the cowls around the rear red fans and tank were also covered in carbon. the bike looks like new having covered only 4800 milers since new backed up with service and the old MOT's. it has covered 1800 miles since 2010 and comes with all the SORN's when it was tucked up in a garage in winter. I have every piece of paper work from new including the receipts for the upgrades and servicing. the bike has never been dropped. the colour change was simply to make it unique and a disc containing over 100 photos comes with the bike from when it was new through to where it is now.

I bought the bike from a work colleague that I work offshore with and have decided to sell it after only a few months ownership as I am quite simply going to go jail if I keep riding it. The bike rides and stops perfectly it is a full on race bike for the road. the unique shape of the petrol can means you can hang of it with total confidence. it inspires you drive it like a track bike. the only issue being the gear selector needs adjusted. this I will do before the sale as it is competition gearbox with a quick shifter.

As well as all the paper work the bike comes with all the parts that have been replaced. including the original end can. head light. and various other bits and bobs. it is a totally unique bike that has been dry stored all it's life in a garage. there is not a spot of rust on it. it has a brand new battery and as said comes with a custom fitted trickle charger so you simply plug it in when it is not in use to keep her ready for those sunny Saturday morning blasts.

The bike is in as new. I have ridden it less than 300 miles before realizing that it is not for me. Someone will be buying one of the most unique and stunning bikes in the world. It is a talking point wherever you go. you will get so much attention. smiles and genuine interest it is unbelievable.

I am putting the bike on as a classified to see what interest it generates. it would make a fantastic addition to any collection or can be taken out and enjoyed anytime you desire.

I may be interested in a PX for something interesting. Mini cabriolet. Boxster S. Carrera cabriolet. S4 cabriolet. etc. cash either way.

I am not home until June 05th so the bike will not be available until then unless a sale is agreed. courier arranged and the cash is in my account. there will be no test rides until money is my hand or funds have been transferred.

The bike can be delivered anywhere in Britain for approximately 130 pounds as I used a courier to bring it up from England.

Like the Tornado Novecento Tre. the RS has top quality components on which great care has been lavished. This version has the exclusive wheels which Benelli designed and developed with OZ. They are forged wheels. giving a 1. 750 kg weight reduction between the front and the back and making the bike even more manageable. They also allow faster direction changes. improvements going into a bend and make the bike more stable during braking. The wheels are anodised. ruling out the need for any maintenance. Another new feature of the Tornado RS is the Brembo "Serie Oro" (Gold Series) front brake system with a radial calliper. This is the most high-tech system. able to improve system braking power and the capacity to modulate it. The fork/calliper assembly was designed to make the system strong enough to prevent the calliper from bending during braking and changes in behaviour. Compared with the conventional system. it is even more suited to sports use on the track since. as well as reducing wear on the brake pads. it provides constant braking performance even in "extreme" situations.
