Yamaha OW01 Race Bike, Classic Racing Superbike

A very rare opportunity to buy one of the most sought-after superbikes of the 90's. OW01 race bikes very rarely come onto the market. they are eligible for some very prestigious classic events and are a superb investment as prices are rapidly going up!

The OW01 was built by Yamaha as a strictly limited edition. not a production bike and was designed without regard to cost and no comparison to a YZF750SP or similar. Although a homologation special road bike they were a barely disguised race bike and many were converted for this purpose (Yamaha offered their own kit parts).

This bike was supplied to Europe from new (comes with origination certificate) and has the designation 3PK. It was race prepared and raced at superbike level by a professional team during the early 90's. It comes with original parts and kit parts manuals. dyno sheets showing various different tests. @120hp at rear wheel.
Following this it was sold to a private individual who only used the bike for track days and then later put it into storage as an investment. Before he used it the original OW engine was removed and stored (I was told it had just been rebuilt by the race team but can't confirm this) and the bike was fitted with a fully rebuilt and fully race kitted FZR750 engine with OW01 top end and likely all internals inc. gearbox (again I can't confirm this its just what I've been told but believe this to be the case judging by the spares - see separate listing). I have been told the bike has some other kit parts such as carbs with quick change jets etc. but I don't know anything about OW specs as I've only had 2 stroke race bikes before so I'm only going on what I've been told so please judge for yourself from the photos (I bought this to prepare and do the Spa Classic but now have a different bike). I can start the bike for the purchaser.
To be clear the bike comes with the fitted YZF750 race engine AND the ORIGINAL OW01 engine for the price advertised.
There is a large spares package available separately. this is NOT included at this price but I am willing to do a deal for the bike and spares package together. Please bear in mind this is a 25 year old classic race bike so of course it has marks. wear etc. (there is a dent to the frame on the right side in the usual place)
