Suzuki RG500 Special Rare Nico Bakker project

RARE SUZUKI RG570 NICO BAKKER WITH V5C.

Quite possibly the best spec RG500 special you will find on sale anywhere. This bike was to be the pride of my extensive 2 stroke collection. but sadly. circumstances have changed. The bike itself is something really special with amazing provenance. The frame is a Nico Bakker copy of the factory MK8 RG500. and was actually raced in a GP in 1983. It was the subject of a major feature in Performance Bikes August 1988. in which Mark Forsyth rides it around the Isle of Man TT course. He summed it up by saying “without a doubt the finest road going special of the '88 TT. ” An original copy of the magazine will of course come with the bike upon sale.

Over the years the bike has undergone some major modernising to bring it up to date and in line with current performance bikes. These modifications. when added up in monetary value. total in excess of £6000. At the moment the bike is not ready for the road and still needs a fair amount of fabrication/fitting of the new parts. I would guess it is around 70% complete.

The bike is in fact a 570cc with many mods. which I have attempted to list below:

And if that is not enough. the icing on the cake is that it also comes with a genuine works Suzuki carbon Kevlar fairing which came off of Alex Barros's bike. Also there is a works Suzuki seat unit. They were bought at great expense from a connection with the works team.
