Rare Ducati 748SP MKI in Yellow

One of the rarest of all the 916 shape motorcycles and certainly the rarest of all of the 748 range. The 748 SP of 1995 was one of only 600 made in that year as the homologation model for the world supersport series and dominated that class for several years until the the Japs caught up. Of the 600 made available for the whole world. many went to race teams and a small batch came to the UK. It has been suggested that as few as 50 were available to the UK dealers. I know this because I bought one of the three available to Motorcycle City in that year (which I still own)

This particular bike was assembled at the Borgo Panigale plant on March 30 1995 and was given frame number 194 and engine number 274 and went fairly quickly to its designated dealer. Registered in the UK 27 April 1995. So I believe it to be one of the first to reach these shores.

I'm not sure how many of the original batch are still remaining but this one is just coming up to its 20th birthday.

This bike is very original and in amazing condition. Covering just over 11000 Kms. Its not been restored but has had some detailing to make near perfect. certainly the most original 748SP I have ever seen. in fact the only parts that it didn't leave the factory with are the tyres and chain.

The motorcycle comes fully serviced which includes timing belts. full new Ducati clutch. Yuasa battery. Dunlop sportsmart tyres. chain & sprockets and new MOT if required.

It also benifits from the original tool kit. handbook. two keys. letter from Ducati stating its authenticity. original paddock stand. original yellow cover and the original road 50mm silencers.
