Description
This item is a Honda NSR 500 Replica. Road Registered.
The list of parts that has gone into this bike is massive so I'll list the major ones here
It has a FTR Chassis and Swingarm with adjustable headstock (These are the people who make bikes and parts for Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP, as well as bespoke items) cost approx. £17000.
Radiator based on Foggy FP1 highly modified
Forks are heavily modified SP1 with magnesium bottoms.
Magnesium top and bottom yolks with lower 6 bolt fittings.
Tank is heavily modified RC30.
Bodywork is genuine NSR Carbon Kevlar factory items
The seat unit is self supporting carbon kevlar.
Full digital dash with quick shifter arming switches and shift lights.
Engine is tuned RG500 with NOVA gearbox.
Kevlar clutch plates
Disk valves are 116mm diameter titanium nitride
Inlet track bolts have been sunk.
Carbs are TMX 39mm and are bonded to the outer disk covers to give maximum space for the fairings.
Cranks have been re-built with RM125 con rods and RG500 mk12 big ends for extra strength.
Big bore barrels with RG +150 pistons tuned to stage 3.
Heads have been 'O' ringed so no need for head gaskets.
Exhausts are highly modified Jolly Moto Items with custom Titanium Silencers.
Ignition is a WOLF item that is 3D Mappable with a TPS unit.
Exhaust controller is modified by BDK to enable it to be adjustable.
It has DYNA ignition coils 0.7ohm
There is a controller fitted to the bike to allow water injection to be fitted to increase lower RPM power but it isn't connected at the minute.
It has BST Carbon Wheels.
There is loads of other bits and pieces but this list give you some idea of what's gone into it.
Its been signed on the right fairing by Loris Caparossi.
The list of components used is enormous and the time invested into building a bike like this is hundreds and hundreds of hours There is a folder with the bike that is crammed full of receipts totaling thousands and thousands of pounds in parts.
It was also featured in MCN quite a few years ago.
This is a total one-off, and I don't know of any other 500 replicas in the world that are built to this standard, and definitely none with an FTR chassis. It gets mistaken for a real one its that good. Its not an RGV / RG500 hybrid.
Would look great in anyone's collection or better still ridden in a classic 2 stroke series.
Selling due to lack of use I've just used it to look at for the last few years and enjoyed the occasional ride (yes it is road registered).
