Description
This Norton 650ss Cafe Race was recently completed by Cottino Racing it was built to a very high speck with money no object. This beautiful bike was created using a original 1960 650ss which was actually in fairly good on the road condition when it arrived. It was compleatley striped the frame and cycle parts blasted and lightly powder coated then flated and painted in two tone metallic green to show standard. Every moving part in engine gearbox and rolling chassis was reconditioned or replaced this included complete new late type stronger oval fork bottoms new chrome stanchions with outer fork spring kit and alloy double damper conversion with very special rare cast alloy fork yolks and custom made steering damper kit. Rear Hagon exposed spring shockers. A new 5 gall UK made alloy Manx tank and new central oil tank where fitted along with new 4LS Grimeca front brake laced into new 18" flanged alloys with SS spokes and sticky Continental tyres as was the rear along with vented chrome rear back brake plate and vented and chromed clutch cover. All new instruments and switches. custom wiring harness Manx mudguards and handlebar fairing along with fully adjustable clip ons with alloy levers. Alloy engine plates and alloy seat. new RGM rear sets. All nuts bolts and fittings are stainless steel. any chrome parts where rechromed. The engine and gearbox was fully striped and totally rebuilt with upgrade bearings. pistons. unleaded valves. eats and guides. am and followers etc. A new Newby race clutch and belt drive along with a new alternator and control unit where fitted as well as complete new CDI ignition and new Amal chopped monobloc carbs. The bike is on its original transferable Reg Number (road tax free) The bike took around a year to build and was delivered to the customer who immediately took it to his local show the 2014 Swindon Rolling Art motorcycle show winning best in show !However it is now available for immediate delivery due to the customer funding a unforeseen business venture. The bike has a comprehensive written and photographic build album including original photos of the donor bike its to date only done 160 shakedown miles so further runing in is recomended. This bike starts first kick and runs and sound beautiful on its swept back pipes and Gold Star Silencers. This bike is offered at well under build cost. Crating and shipping to UK or overseas can be arranged at cost.
