Description
For Sale: My 1975 Laverda 1000 3CE.
This bike is an original UK bike supplied new from Slater Brothers in September 1975.
It has matching engine and frame numbers. It was the subject of an extensive nut and bolt restoration by the keeper before me. It's engine rebuilt by McGrath Engineering in Cumbria.
This restoration took place over a number of years in the noughties and has MOT certificates running yearly from 2008. It has done about 2000 miles since its rebuild now showing 42.627 miles. The bike has electronic ignition and a hydraulic clutch conversion. Surprisingly. it is equipped with the original factory silencers which were repaired and re-chromed during it's restoration. It also has the originally equipped Falcon rear shocks that again were rebuilt professionally. The wheels are Borrani alloy rims with stainless spokes. This same bike was featured on the front of Classic Bike Magazine in December 2012 and featured in an article within. The estimated value of the bike at this time was £15.000. The receipts for all work and parts have been retained along with the original clutch assembly and centre stand. I'll even throw in a copy of Classic Bike as above.
The pictures above hardly do justice to how good this machine looks.
It can be viewed in Surrey.
