Description
Selling my bike. Its a ZX9R E 2000 in blue. I've had it for over 4 years and I'm selling because I'm moving and I can't take the bike with me :(
Mileage is approx. 39000 so that's around 2500 per year. There are some spare parts that come with the bike mainly original parts and different drive sprockets. I have used the bike for commuting and camping trips. it is very comfortable for a sports bike so riding all day is no problem.
Petrol consumption is very good - nearly 50mpg riding slowly.
Mechanically the bike is sound and Ive never had any problems with it. It handles very nicely and starts and stops as it should. When I got it with 22000 miles I gave it a major service at a local garage and since then Ive done the servicing myself. changing the oil approximately every 4000 miles. Every 8000 I change the oil filter and check the valve clearances replacing the shims if needed and balance the carbs. Last service was at 38000 which was a major one. I changed the coolant also. I have a folder with receipts and old MOTS tax discs etc.
Cosmetically the bike is presentable but it is 15 years old so don't expect a new bike. it has various marks scratches chips cracks etc. You must judge for yourself. Tyres are Michelin Road Pilot 2s and I would estimate they are 2/3 done.
I have a quality Squire security chain which I will include with the bike if the full asking price is met otherwise I will sell separately.
The bike has many upgraded parts as follows:
SP Engineering stubby carbon triangular end can with baffle ( quite load. but road legal. original pipe is included) ZX10R 2009 rear shock, DynoJet stage 1 kit, DID Gold X ring chain in good condition, Rental rear sprocket up one tooth and front sprocket down one tooth (I have other spare sprockets too), DanMoto adjustable rear sets (originals included), Black Shadow wavy disc brakes (front and rear), Nissin 4 pot callipers (much better than the horrible 6 pot Tokicos)Braided brake hoses front and rear, EBC brake pads (front and rear), Double bubble tinted screen, Tinted front indicators, Tinted rear light cluster with builtin indicators (original cluster included and also separate indicators), 55w Xenon headlight bulbs (originals available), Stubby brake and clutch levers (originals included), Rental grips (originals included), ZX6R throttle grip tube. Forks dropped about an inch through the triple clamps for better handling. 15w oil in the forks to stiffen up front suspension. Clean air system removed (is included). Cut down rear hugger Under tray, Powder coated wheels, Crash mushrooms (cheap ones). 35 litre Top BoxRear rack which can be removed. I have the grab rails Oxford saddle bags (silver/black). It also has a Scott Oiler fitted but he feed pipe is missing so its not doing anything at the moment. Im sure its easy to get and fit a replacement. Probably some other stuff Ive forgotten.
Strictly no time wasters. I insist anybody who is seriously interested in buying view the bike first. Buying any kind of motor vehicle unseen is never a good idea. Test rides are possible with full cash asking price in my hand. If you damage the bike in anyway you've bought it. Cash on collection or bank transfer. Sold as seen. No warranty given or implied.
