This bike started life with the JR Superbike team in Holland as their spare bike in the 2012 Dutch Superbike Championship. I've had it since 2013 as trackday bike. It has the kit KTM race wiring and ECU. As such. there's no V5 since it's been a racebike all its life. The engine is the ‘Track' version of the normal RC8R lump which has high compression head gaskets and so on. It was set up and dynoed at Track Electronics earlier this year. The dyno numbers and torque curve speak for themselves. Needless to say. it's got some serious stomp out of the corners.
It's been bulletproof and I haven't had any reliability issues. the engine's capable of more power but I had it setup up for reliability. so it doesn't need any special maintenance. I've changed the oil and filter every 2-3 trackdays. Condition of the bike in general is excellent. with a few marks here and there as you'd expect from a trackday/race bike.
It comes with two exhaust set ups. for loud and quiet days. The twin Akra system with baffles in generally tests at around 99dB. the underslung EVO4 is somewhat noisier. It's a straight swap between the two. they both have the same connection to the headers. It's just a matter of whipping the bellypan off and undoing a couple of bolts.
The bike's in perfect working order and has been well looked after. I was last out on it at Snetterton at the end of October. It's been a hoot for the last two years and I've had great fun with it. but I need to sell it for boring. practical reasons (house move)
I could probably go into more detail. but I think that covers the basics! Contact me if you'd like to know more or see more pics.
£7500ono for just the bike. I'm open to offers if you want the whole package of wets on wheels and I'll give you any spares I have. Perhaps it would make a nice Christmas present for someone…
Bike is located in Norwich. Frame and engine numbers are present if you want to check history with your local KTM dealer.
