Description
For Sale is my late Evo Softail Standard.
It's got very low mileage. and as you would expect. runs and rides perfectly. I have made a few changes to the bike to suit the riding position that I like. and it is very comfortable for higher speed cruising due to the large diameter Drag Bars and fully adjustable foot boards that were fitted to the bike earlier this year. However. if you prefer a more upright custom look. the original factory fitted mini-apehangers and forward footrests will be supplied with the bike.
I have changed the original factory seat for an american made 'Le Pera' seat. which tucks you into the bike nicely. as well as giving the bike a much sleeker look.
The original exhaust silencers have been replaced with Harley 'Screaming Eagle' silencers. but I do have the originals that will also be supplied with the bike.
Apart from the above changes. the bike is pretty much as it left the factory. If you are looking for an almost unmolested late Evo. this is the one for you.
The Evolution was the last of the older style Harleys made before Twin Cams and fuel injection systems became the norm on Harleys. and as such is the last of the Harley engines that are simple enough & suitable for the average home mechanic to work on.
However. unfortunately. having owned loads of older British Bikes & earlier Harleys. even if they aren't as reliable & as much as I like this bike for its ease of use. reliability and looks. personally I think I need something a bit older again. I had planned to build a Chop using an Evo as a base. which is why I bought the bike. but it is just too clean and original to use for this. so it's now up for sale.
I will be looking for possibly an earlier Harley or British bike to replace the Evo as soon this one is gone by the way.
Anyway. cash on collection or the Bike can be collected after cleared funds are in my bank account.
The bike is Taxed & MOT'd. ready to ride away.
Please no timewasters or test-pilots. and please note that as the bike is for sale elsewhere.
If you have any queries. please don't hesitate to ask.
