1969 BSA 441 VICTOR SPECIAL - RUNNING PROJECT

1969 BSA 441 Victor Special has returned from sitting in a barn in California for many years.

The bike is a matching numbers and crankcases bike complete with NOVA cert which is needed if you wanted to register and use on UK roads.

I have started to build as a MX bike to race in pre 65 classic events but have just purchased a B44 Victor GP so this has to go due to lack of time. space and funds!

Engine was stripped and cleaned and i have put back together with new main bearing and new piston rings to get it running again. the big end was good as was the gearbox and all internals. having got it running after years in the barn. the bike is a little smokey and if i was going to finish and ride i would probably re-bore/new rings. will need tuning/setting up correctly. other than this the engine is in great condition and starts and runs without any rattles and goes through gears fine.

Good bits

Frame and engine in great condition. no fin damage. all original minus a few lugs removed from frame.

Nice original tank (minus paint). few minor dings that will should come out if required.

Front end. Original front wheel which is 8" 1/2 width hub (hard to find) rim is poor as is tyre. non standard forks. BSA A65 shuttle valve i think ??.

Rear end. Hagon shocks. QD rear wheel (original chrome rim). Dunlop mx tyre

Elextrexworld electronic ignition included.

Original highline handlebars

All original brackets and items that were present are included.

Nova certificate supplied with bike.

Not so good bits

Old seat base has no foam or cover

Frame has been spray painted and is fine for MX but is not show standard.

Will need new a few bits to complete.

All in all a great project that requires a little work to make a lovely MX bike or could be restored back to original or a green laner.

Cash on collection only. this one will make a great bike and can only increase in value.
