Description
This is a Kawasaki VN1500 Vulcan fuel-injected trike custom, which has covered just 2,190 miles. It has had 3 owners and is MOT'd until 2016. First registered on 1st January 2000, it is a UK bike. This Kawasaki is ready for you to insure, tax, and ride, and is correctly registered on the V5 as a tricycle (2000 model registered on a V reg). It starts, rides, and stops as it should and will be a good value trike for you. It has been sat unused in a barn since 2009 and has just had a new MOT. Along with the MOT, it has had a new battery, new plugs, new fuel pump, new fuel injector seals, fresh oil, new rear pads, and new brake and clutch fluids. The 1500cc V-twin injected engine sounds and performs just as it should.
It comes with the V5, two ignition keys, two immobilizer fobs, the owner's manual, and past MOTs, which read as follows:
- 2015-2016 @ 2,161 miles
- 2008-2009 @ 2,029 miles
- 2007-2008 @ 1,212 miles
- 2004-2005 @ 849 miles
- 2003-2004 @ 795 miles
The rear tires are Goodyear Eagles, which are like new, and the front tire is half-worn, as are the front pads. Some of the chrome is flaking on top of the hypercharger, on the front and rear footboards, and on the mirror stalks. The studs on the leather baggage have surface rust. The rear frame has some surface rust, which has been roughly touched in in the past. With a day's worth of polishing and elbow grease, it can be restored to a better condition.
I don't know who carried out the trike conversion, other than that it was in the ownership of the first owner. The diff and hubs, along with the discs, calipers, and brakes, appear to be taken from a Ford Sierra. Apparently, the clocks were not reset to zero when it was converted, which ties in with the MOT records, making it extremely low mileage.
So, if you are after a low-mileage trike that is ready for you to insure, tax, and ride, or if you are looking for a winter project, then this is for you. The trike is located in the Newcastle Staffordshire area (ST5).
