Exactly what it says on the tin. One or two alterations from stock - early FL dashboard. kicker kit installed. modern Avon tyres. GMA brake callipers front and rear and an S&S Super E carb.
Bike starts and runs well. A minor weep from the front base gasket but a full top end James gasket kit is included.
The front indicators need the wiring sorting. it is all there but just needs to be cut and soldered together or quick connections added.
The bike is in pretty good condition considering it is over 40 years old. There are two spots of damage to the paint - the mudguard hinge and the inner edge of one tank where the pogo seat arm has chipped it.
The bike was imported from the USA in 2012 and I am the 6th UK owner. I have the logbook and it is a matching numbers bike. UK age related plate. MOT valid until October 2016. I know two of the previous owners and both were enthusiasts.
I have a few spares to go with the bike - another seat. extra pipes. front crash bar. mushroom air filter. another set of controls and whatever else I can find.
If the bike reaches the asking price I also have a complete BDL competitor clutch to go in. It doesn't need it but my previous experience with shovels is that it is a worthy replacement as and when required.
The bike is ready to be used this summer as it should be. Currently sits in my garage not being used due to my new found addiction to enduro riding. Only reason I'm selling is to buy a KTM 350 EXC-F. KTM 450 EXC or a Husqvarna FE350 with the aim of entering some enduro races.
Come and view the bike. There are signs of use - it isn't a full ground up restoration but a nice. solid original Shovelhead with all the right bits on and some "patina". Any history or check welcome.
