Description
For sale is my vintage 1924 Norton Model 16H.
490cc side valve.
Its been in a family ownership for the last 51 years and is a very reluctant sale and selling due to needing space in garage. The Norton name is one of the most well known motorcycle manufacturers and was founded in 1901 by a gentleman named Rem Fowler.
In 1911 James Lansdowne Norton entered a 490cc side valve motorcycle into the TT races with no success but the following year with some improvements won the Brooklands TT and set three world records.
My 1924. Norton 16H is in excellent running condition with a very sweet running engine. fitted with a 3 speed Sturmey Archer gearbox. it has it's original old brown logbook confirming only 3 previous owner's and also confirming correct engine/frame no's. original registration number and old V5.
This is potentially a rider's bike or a complete restoration for someone but it would be nice to see it in the condition it is with good patina. The bike is eligible for the famous ''Banbury Run'' or any other club events or could just be purchased for the investment side.
