Description
For sale a 2012 Honda NC700S
I am the second owner of the bike. the first being the company I work for. Bike was used for transport in & around London. although not for courier work. since been used to commute by me. Bike was maintained by a local dealership using genuine Honda parts to keep within the terms of the warranty until I bought the bike. Was serviced close to when I purchased it & I've only covered around 2000 miles. new shock was fitted within the last 7500 miles.
In the time I've owned the bike I've fitted some adjustable levers (originals included). some Datatool heated grips (5 settings. get decently hot but are quite chunky so won't suit those with very small hands). a taller screen. a Givi Monokey top box plate. a sidestand footplate & some excellent Michelin Pilot Road 4 tyres which have only been used for a few hundred miles thus far. MOT'd until September.
Bike is excellent for the commute. even without a top box you have around 25ltr of storage in the 'tank' up front (enough for a bulging bag of groceries or some full-face helmets). I've never had less than 70 MPG from a tank. 8000 mile service intervals & single disc etc. mean low servicing costs. Handling is nice & light. plenty of low down poke.
I'm selling the bike because I'm after buying something to tour on & being 6ft 3 it lacks room for me when covering long distances.
The bad points of the bike I'd say are all cosmetic. it has covered quite a lot of miles in all weathers. There are scratches/wear to paintwork in the usual areas you'd expect like around the top yoke where the keys have bounced around. some spots of odd corrosion like underneath the headlight (see pics). also both sides of the bike show marks/scuffs on the engine covers & a scrape to the exhaust from low speed falls during its life. I've tried to photograph most of these. should you wish photographs of any particular areas/any further info please don't hesitate to ask.
Mileage likely to increase a small amount due to still being used for commuting.
Bike can be collected from KT22 or SW6. £150 non-refundable deposit is required. balance to be paid in cash upon collection.
