KTM 525XC Rally Bike

Full Dakar Mecasystems specification bike, built by TDR for the 2008 African Dakar Rally.
For those who follow the Dakar, you will know that the event was canceled 12 hours before the start due to terrorist threats.
This was my bike for the event and returned home from Lisbon without seeing action.
I then took it to Argentina for the 2010 South America event.
Unfortunately, on day four, I had a small spill that put me out of the event.
After much consideration, it is now up for sale.

Full Mecasystems conversion professionally carried out, including the following upgrades:

- Twin alloy rear fuel tanks & fuel pump (rear tanks removed at present)
- Low-level front pipes with high-level Akrapovic silencer

The engine is very strong and smooth, and like all 525s, they are virtually indestructible.
This is not a bike for the faint-hearted, and it's not for grocery runs!
