Description
Here we have a stunning Ducati 999R, No. 345, complete with all keys, book pack, and plaque.
The 999R superseded the Massimo Tamburini-designed Ducati 916, 996, and 998 superbikes in 2003 and was produced until 2006. This bike enjoyed great success in World Superbike and was raced in the series through the 2007 season, despite no longer being produced, pending rule changes by the FIM to allow competition of the new Ducati 1098.
The 999R was designed by Pierre Terblanche amid much controversy over its styling. Despite this, it is known as an extremely high-performance, race-oriented motorcycle.
With its traditional Ducati L-twin desmodromic valve-actuated engine layout, it delivers linear power with high power and torque figures available even at low RPM. Additionally, with its high-spec suspension and trellis chassis, it is one of the finest-handling motorbikes of its time.
This bike is number 345 of the 999R built, showing only 3,200 miles, and would make a fantastic addition to any collection or a superb Sunday ride.
We are able to arrange a finance package to suit. Please come and visit our new showroom.
