1996 Bimota YB9SR, 1 owner, low miles

Here we have an immaculate 1996 Bimota YB9 SR. One owner from new. 6182 miles (9949 km) I spend my time between Oxford and Italy. This Bimota is at my home in Italy. Price includes delivery to your home by a specialist motorcycle courier. Photos were taken a few days ago. For any serious buyers I have many more photos which I can email.
If you are asking yourself why you rarely see this Bimota model for sale. it's because it is such a good bike. anyone who has one tends not to sell. I currently have 2.
As you can see from the photos the bike is really. really clean. everything works as it should and she runs perfectly. Bimota took the very best 600cc engine. available in 1996. which is from a Yamaha FZR600RR. matched to their superb aircraft Aluminium frame. the best Brembo brakes and Marchesini wheels. Paioli suspension front and rear. to create a lightweight. agile and brilliant handling motorcycle.
A new Battery has been fitted. the Oil changed. Front and rear brake fluid changed. water coolant changed. Carburettors cleaned. new needle valve and gaskets. Air filter cleaned. Chain tension checked. Brakes all good. Tyres are on the low side so included are 2 brand new Pirelli Diablo Tyres. Arrow Carbon exhaust sounds great. Included is the original exhaust and the pillion seat. 2 keys. operation manual and service book. Carbon mudguards front and rear and Carbon licence plate holder. Servicing costs are very reasonable as it is a 600cc Yamaha engined bike. No damage. just some stone chips on the front of the fairing and a few surface cracks below one wing mirror. Easy cosmetic repair and really not bad for a 20 year old bike.
Courier:
I use Chas Mortimer. www.chasmortimer.co.uk to deliver the Bimota to your door. I have used Chas to deliver and collect numerous bikes. He is the very best motorcycle courier. with very careful and knowledgable drivers. who are all bike owners. He carries out all the bike movements for Bonhams auction house. worldwide and has a base here in Italy. Payment for the bike will be by bank transfer to my UK bank account. or if you prefer we operate a service whereby the buyer can make the payment for the bike into Chas Mortimer's account. which is held until the bike is collected and on its way to you. Upon receiving the deposit I will make the booking for the collection. Depending on his drivers movements you should have the bike in approx. 7-10 days. sometimes sooner. but we do our very best to make things happen quickly.
Registration:
This is a simple and straightforward process for the DVLA. You will be supplied with an invoice / bill of sale. Italian registration documents and HMRC verification of no import duties due ( no duty is due on any used motorcycle within the EU. because of the free movement of goods act. within Europe ) Fill in a V55 form. download from DVLA website. Standard MOT to be completed using the frame number. Bike is fully prepared for MOT. Road TaxCopy of licence / I.D. Send the details to the DVLA and you get your new V5 with age related registration in a few weeks.
If you prefer. I have a friend in Kent who carries out the above process for a living and a reasonable fee. He has done hundreds of bikes.
If anyone would like to view the bike you are more than welcome. I am near Sanremo. N. W Italy. For around £100 return or less. you fly to Nice. S. France. I pick you up in the morning. 1 hour drive to my home. you see the bike. we have lunch (currently sunny and warm) I bring you back to airport.
Once a sale has been agreed I will require a deposit of £250 through PayPal. Once I have received this I will make the booking with the courier. When the collection / delivery dates are confirmed then the balance is to be paid.

For sale separately. I have a complete Red bodywork for the Bimota. It has been professionally resprayed including decals and new rear light. It's as good as new. It came from another YB9 I owned which had the bodywork replaced with a 3 piece. I have photos.
