I have owned this 1942 UL since 1972. It was a roller in need of TLC when I purchased it. I rebuilt it and rode it solo and then added a 1944 sidecar in 1977. I put this motorcycle into storage in 1979 and left it there until several years ago. I then tore it completely apart and rebuilt it. It got a new top end including pistons, valves and guides. The gas tanks were replaced with a great set of NOS UL tanks that I had found. The tanks and fenders were painted black.
The VIN is original & untouched. The gearbox is 3 speed with reverse.
I can no longer kick start a bike because both of my hips have been replaced so I installed a Russ Peterson Right Side Electric Starter Conversion. Amazing, it allowed an old man to easily start this big twin.
This is a 12v electric system with Shorai Li Battery, 12v generator and Solid State Regulator in original looking relay case. The original 6v horn is loud with a 12v system.
This sale includes the correct oil tank, kick cover/starter/clutch arm, clutch pedal parts and complete sidecar windshield.
I will sell the bike and sidecar separately. Contact me with your offer for either or both.
A $500 deposit is due immediately by PayPal. The balance must be paid by wire transfer to my account within 3 days. The motorcycle will be released when the funds are verified as received by my bank. There are several companies that safely transport motorcycles. I have personally used Allied with good results. All shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I will assist in any way that I can.
Please look carefully at the photos and ask any questions you may have before. This motorcycle will be sold with a clean and clear California Title in my name, as is, where is.
