Description
As mentioned one of the rarest Triumphs made close to the end of the Triumph Meriden co-operative in the early 80s. this was one of the last ditched attempts to get Triumph back on track, unfortunately we all know the sad story.
There are differing opinions with some saying 450 models made and sold and others saying 150 with 4 650 Thunderbird engined models sold alongside.
Either way one rare old bird.
Imported by myself from Switzerland last year where it appears most where sold and all duties paid ready to register with Swiss reg doc etc. it runs like a (wait for it... you know its coming... Swiss watch), this engine is as sweet as a nut with zero oil leaks???? I've just rebuilt the master cylinder and fitted a new battery, starts first second kick.
Those eagle eyed amongst you will see a bust gaintor on the fork and a knick in the seat but other than that... she's in great shape for her age.
I don't like restored bikes I prefer patina and originality so have bawked at the ide of repainting the tank or doing a new decal as its peeled with the sun i would imagine.
Only selling due to home move and thinning down my herd.
Can deliver in UK mainland for £200. Cash or bank transfer is good or gold bars...
Located in Aboyne Scotland.
Get yourself a rare bike that's heading up in value each year.
