1967 BSA Spitfire

I purchased this 1967 BSA Spitfire Mk III in December 2020. After enjoying riding the bike, decided to complete some upgrades, which resulted in a compreshensive restoration by award winning vintage bike restorer, Moto41 Restorations of Santa Ana CA. No expense has been spared.
The bike was purchases with 2887 miles and at 2958 the restoration started, and was completed in June of 2021. The BSA has been enjoyed and always turns heads or sparks a conversation.
The bike is marching numbers bike, Clean California Title in my name. It has European style Large tank and bars, European style wiring harness (lights can be used when key is off) Borani Rims
Restoration work included a complete top end overhaul, with head and cylinders being vapor blasted, honed, decoked and new valve springs were fitted. The bike was torn down to the frame and carefully re-assembled using original and quality new parts listed below.
The following work was completed New Front Fender lowered 2 inches to remove the gap between tire and fender2 into 1 exhaust, Mikuni Carb conversion New Gas taps, fuel lines, filters. New Reynolds chain, New Chain Guard ( UK ) New Headlamp ears ( UK ) Bridgestone BT46 tires, New wheel bearings & Seals, Progressive fork springs with new fork tubes, gaiters, fork caps, Ikon adjustable rear shocks New Smiths Speedo & Tachometer ( speedo stop working. Mileage shows 325 bike total mileage is approx 3283 ) New chrome rear fender (UK) Powder coated frame, centre stand, oil tank, New Cad plate on all fasteners, New Red paint on tank, side panels, fork legs, Vape Electronic ignition ( previous owner fitted cast iron oil pump upgrade ) New seat, New mirror, Euro spec low rise bars with period correct looking mirror. New alternator, New clutch seal ( rear and sprocket oil seal ) Lake bearing plate fitted to rear of clutch. Shorai Battery Brighter, more robust LED bulb fitted. ( less of draw on electrical system )
Sale includes: Spare and some replaced components, a smooth style cyliner head cover, footpeg rubbers, passenger foot pegs, ignition points. Copies of receipts showing build costs.
Riding: The bike starts first kick, aided by the installation of Mikuni Carbs. This carb mod has greatly improved starting, rideability an stronger top end power - however I will include pair of Amals which were used for 300-400 miles.
