Description
Lambretta SX200 1967 Scooter. Supplied by John W. Groombridge, of Heathfield Sussex. Dating certificate from Lambretta Club Great Britain and DVLA confirmation
My SX 200 has just had a £3400 rebuild by Cambridge Lambretta Workshops having been sat for 20 plus years. Frame and engine both correctly stamped SX200.
A very original and rare SX200 model Lambretta.
This is an older cosmetic restoration, so great opportunity to choose the colour of your choice, but still very presentable with no damage. There are some small drill holes in the front bumper to accommodate number plates.
Mechanically A1, nothing left to do.
It was repainted sometime ago the white paintwork is very good I would respray the rest if I was keeping it but it is perfectly presentable
Following the mechanical overhaul/rebuild she starts first or second kick and runs/pulls really well.
Work carried out include: New tyres, New seat, New exhaust, new barrel & piston plus rebore, Pathfinder lamps (controlled by key fob), 12v electronic ignition, New battery, New carburettor, All new cables, New Brakes, New filters. Fully serviced. RECEIPTS FOR ALL WORK CARRIED OUT ARE AVAILABLE.
Comes with original luggage rack (not fitted).
Reason for sale, is that after looking for an SX for a long time, the scooter world is not for me and I'm never going to ride it. So rather than leave it sitting for another 20 years, a genuine enthusiast/ Lambretta fan needs to own it. I'll focus on my classic Jap bikes.
Thanks for looking.
I can confirm that the engine and frame numbers are correct for a 1967 model SX200 and fall within the parameters detailed below* The numbers are within 390 digits of each other, which I'm told is pretty standard?
Viewings are welcome. No nostalgic test rides though. Please don't ask for photo's of the engine and frame numbers. This is a genuine 1967 SX200.
*Year Model. Engine/Frame numbers 1967 SX 200 842643–847275. Just a point of clarification, original barrel was rebored but had one or two repair issues, so new barrel and piston was fitted in the end.
