The 916 MONOPOSTO model is a classic and sought-after choice for motorcycle.
This low kilometer 13-character VIN, 1994 Ducati 916s has all the signs of being made in Varese. The Varese bikes are regarded by the True 916s aficionado as the Holy Grail of the 916 series, with this the now near unavailable monoposto. Purportedly hand built, the Ducati 916s along with the SP's were only available as a Monoposto; being a different spec to the Bologna 916, the 94 bikes were Cagiva Elephant branded with only 199 made. The bike offered has a red frame and is possibly one of 5 prototypes or tribute ( Massiomo Tamburini rode a red frame black wheeled 916 see photos) sold by Ducati to make up numbers for orders. This bike requires very little to bring it back to original but has some patina expected of a bike of this age.
