1948 Harley-Davidson Touring

What I have here is a Harley-Davidson 1948 WL 45” Flathead. I purchased this bike about 15 years ago, as a very pretty bike for my wife (who never rode it!). I rode it a few times and eventually sold it about 10 years ago for 10 grand. The man, I sold it to rode it on and off for a year and then parked it. I picked it up again about six months ago. I then thought maybe I was going to fix it up again. Since then, I have started other projects and decided to just let it go and move on. Sitting for nine years has not done any of the chrome any good. Now has a “G” transmission with a three-speed reverse. I think he was planning on hooking up a side car to it, but I don't know because he is no longer around to ask. It always ran good back when I had it. Kind of small for pulling a side car, but hey, who am I to judge?
I have a clean California title, registered as a 1948 Harley-Davidson WL – currently in non-op status. So, if you live in California, there are no back registration fees. Again, please note it has been sitting for 9 years. Please plan to get it running, as I have no plans to work on this bike again.
