1971 Harley-Davidson FX SUPER GLIDE BOAT TAIL

Real 1971 Harley-Davidson Super glide kick start only Boat Tail. This belonged to my certified Harley Mechanic. The last time it was licensed was 1986 when he first got it. I think it was bought from Egebergs Cycle in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
This was always a Night Train. He took the bike apart and rebuilt the motor and transmission just because that's what he does. It has stock bore cylinders. He balanced the motor and did some tricks to the transmission gears to make it shift smooth. The bike has been repainted... Not Original Paint!
The bike starts and runs great. The engine number matches the frame and title.
The real speedometer shows 19220 miles.
The original goodyear front tire is weather checked and the rear is also an old goodyear.
The seat has cracks and some black tape on it. The first owner stamped some little numbers on some of the parts... not sure why.
The bike has some old parts on it that might have some chrome peeling or scratches. It could use more detailing. This would be a great bike to put in your collection. Owners manual will be included with sale and license plate from 86.
This is sold as is with no warranty or returns. I won't figure shipping because there is lots of places that do that these days. I will help load or get the bike to a close place for pick-up.
