BSA A7 Rigid 1951 500cc Original Registration Classic Motorcycle.
A rare 1951 BSA A7 Rigid in excellent mechanical condition. The engine has recently been rebuilt with new pistons, valves, and springs, along with an SRM high-delivery oil pump fitted. The gearbox has undergone a full rebuild with all new bearings and bushes, and a new primary chain has been installed.
Both front and rear wheel bearings are new, and the wheels have been fully rebuilt with new spokes and rims, fitted with new tyres. The Smiths speedometer has been rebuilt, and the magneto was professionally reconditioned last year by Tony Cooper.
New front brake shoes were fitted last month, and the rear brake shoes were last inspected and found to be in good condition.
This bike is used regularly and has proven to be extremely reliable. It starts very easily, usually first or second kick. The registration is original to the bike and transferable.
This motorcycle has been in my family for many years and was previously my father's. It pulls strongly through all the gears, accelerates well, and runs cleanly with no smoke, rattles, or unwanted noises. I would confidently ride this bike anywhere.
